Headstand

What is a headstand?

A headstand is a trade show booth that, as the name suggests, stands at the head of a row at a trade show.

This type of booth has three open sides and a back wall. The surface area of this type of trade show booth is very variable, but does not have to be large to stand out. It depends on the trade show and what your direct competition is doing of course. With a creative interpretation like a ceiling, a u-shaped banner or another eye catcher in the booth, you can easily improve your visibility.

Making an impact at the fair

As perhaps not unknown to you, is the fact that there are many trade shows that only take place once a year or biannually, once even triennially. This increases the urgency of getting noticed on the trade show floor. After all, you only have a short time to let your target audience become familiar with your organization, brand or new products.

We are happy to help you make a good choice regarding the type of exhibition stand. The choice depends, among other things, on your budget, the goals of the organization and the exhibition and the desired look. It is important that the exhibition stand suits your organization and that our stand design fits this seamlessly. Whether you choose a head stand, island stand, intermediate stand, floor stand or corner stand, it’s all about the interpretation.

Econox's headstand

Econox’s front stand at the VSK in Utrecht. One of the exhibition participation goals of the Econox team was to stand out at the VSK. With this beautiful stand of 100 square meters, they succeeded. They are a total supplier, and that is what the booth radiates. Together with different compartments for products and a central hospitality area, it is very inviting.

Because this is a headstand, the booth has a back wall and three open sides. The open sides allow visitors to enter the booth, and the back in this case was used for a feature wall and storage.

An eye-catching plant wall

In this case, the feature wall in Econox’s header booth is a plant wall with their logo in it. The plant wall also appears on the side of the booth. A plant wall gives a sustainable, natural impression and at the same time brings a lot of color into the space. Even if, as in the case of Econox, they are not real plants. In fact, this is even more durable, because you can use them much more often and apply them in different forms.

Actemium at the WOTS

Actemium’ s stand is another fine example of a headline stand. This stand of 40 square meters, has a striking design partly due to the large eye catcher above the stand and the LED lighting in the floor.

Audience member

To ensure that trade show visitors become booth visitors, you need a crowd puller or showstopper. A way to get people to your booth. This can be anything and the possibilities vary widely. Think of an interactive screen, a photobooth, game element or something to eat or drink.

At Actemium’s head booth during WOTS, we chose to have a tuktuk at the booth where different types of coffee are handed out to visitors. This way, people stand still at your exhibition stand, which gives you a moment to address them.

Miele's headline booth at the Dental Expo

Big brands like Miele also want to present themselves at different trade shows. At all these fairs, they have a different size stand, a different type of stand and involve a completely different division of the organization.

However, they do find it important to have the same look organization-wide, including at trade shows. Red and white are the main colors used by the Miele brand. These are therefore extensively reflected in the exhibition stand.

Presenting new products

Presenting or demonstrating (new) products can be a goal for your trade show participation. Miele’s focus at the Dental Expo was on presenting two new products for the oral care industry. Therefore, these products received full attention in the booth design and are prominently featured. Due to its striking shape and color, it is impossible for booth visitors to miss.

Why choose a headstand?

A front stand offers maximum exposure, in part because there are three sides on which to draw the attention of passing trade show visitors.

One closed side offers the opportunity for the placement of eye-catching graphics and possibly a storage area. A header booth is a frequently chosen option by exhibitors because it offers many contact moments due to the three adjacent aisles and also has the exposure of a back wall to provide appropriate fill-in.

We will be happy to help you fill the header booth and will make sure your booth is the showstopper of the trade show. Please contact us so we can discuss all your trade show participation requirements.
